Learn how to sleep your baby safely. Red Nose Saving Little Lives will explain recommendations as well as give information on how best to create a safe sleeping environment for baby.

Red Nose Saving Little Lives is dedicated to saving the lives of babies and children during pregnancy, birth, infancy and childhood and supporting bereaved families.

In Australia each year over 3,500 families experience the sudden and unexpected death of a baby or child, either through stillbirth or during the first month of life, from sudden unexpected death in infancy (SIDS or fatal sleeping accidents).

Specialist Speaker: Andrea Quanchi Midwife and Maternal Health Nurse

You have a new baby but what now… how can one little thing be so hard to work out. Remember you are not alone in feeling like this.

The first few days and weeks are often a blur.  Everyone is so excited to sit and cuddle the new little bundle but the novelty wears off and you are left wondering how to get anything done and meet the needs of your baby as well.

So what is the key to getting your baby to sleep? How does this change as baby grows? What are realistic goals? Attend this session and have your questions answered by Andrea Quanchi, midwife and maternal child health nurse who has 35 years experience working with families in this field.

We focus on some basics, nutrition, exercise, choice of care provider and general wellbeing during pregnancy.

The hazards and things to avoid will be covered as well as some common pregnancy complaints. Education and how to make the most of this time of preparation will be included.

In this class we cover how to get ready for birth and baby.

This class gives women and their support people, a showcase of resources and strategies to practice for great birth. Hands on techniques will be demonstrated and discuss. We will discuss preparing the home and preparing to feed your baby as well.

Specialist Speaker: Zora Marko Project Manager, Road Safety Education Project

This talk provides important information on Victorian road laws and the impact of incorrectly fitted child car seats. Information on choosing, fitting and using the right child car seats or capsule for your child will also be presented.

Australian Breastfeeding Association is Australia’s leading authority on breastfeeding. 

This talk will cover key information, such as the benefits of breastfeeding, the let down reflux, supply and demand feeding and how to know if your baby is getting enough breast milk, positioning and attachment, and more. You'll also hear about the support available to help you with your breastfeeding journey.
