Red Nose’s safe sleep advice line provides a crucial helping hand for new and expectant parents who are anxious about keeping the little ones in their care safe and sound.
But unfortunately, not every new parent knows about the Advice Line when they need it!
As Covid restrictions have impacted parents’ access to antenatal and postnatal education opportunities, new parents have told Red Nose that having an expert on the end of the phone who can reassure parents when they’re anxious or concerned about how to ensure their baby stays safe whilst sleeping is incredibly valuable.
That’s why Red Nose Day is such a brilliant opportunity to raise awareness amongst new and expectant parents and their friends and families of the resources available to support them through this exciting, but challenging time of their lives.
In addition to the Safe Sleep Advice Line, parents can also access Red Nose’s expert guidance in a variety of other ways, just like Jaclyn did when she was expecting her baby.
Jaclyn says ‘While I was pregnant, I used the Red Nose website as a guide when preparing for William’s arrival, particularly with safety around sleeping do’s and don’ts, as well as clothing, bedding, breastfeeding, etc.’
‘Since William’s birth, I have watched the Live Q&A videos with Jane Wiggill on Facebook & Instagram which have been very informative.’
