Presented by The Midwifery and Maternity Provider Organisation Australia (MMPOA)
When you become pregnant it can seem like a whole new world has opened up. Everyone has an opinion on what is good and bad! What is the right information for you? What is useful and what's not? How do you filter it all and make the right choices for you?
Women are now faced with options and information about being pregnant and birth like never before. For some, the information is welcome and they find themselves devouring everything they can put their hands on. Others feel completely overwhelmed from the first conversation with their work mates about all things birth. Information is both a confidence boost and a confidence bust.
Liz Wilkes has been a midwife for over 20 years and is the Managing Director of My Midwives and she is here to help. Liz gives an informative talk on how you can overcome this abundance of information when you are pregnant, including good sources of unbiased information and how these sources can help alleviate any fears you may have.
Liz aims to help you feel confident and safe with the decisions you make for your pregnancy and new parent journey.
