Melbourne Testimonials

We think our expo is great (of course!) but what do our visitors think? Here is what some of our visitors had to say after attending the 2010 Pregnancy Babies and Children’s Expo in Melbourne.

“Having attended previous other industry expos, I was particularity impressed with this one.”

I would definitely recommend the expo.  My husband also enjoyed it as much as myself which is saying something!  We arrived at 3pm and in hindsight should have put aside 3 hours and not 2. But we'll know for next time!

I learnt an array of new information from different foundations (e.g. Australian Breastfeeding Association and SIDS) and further information on the different range of products available.  We purchased a 'breeze baby' sling for our unborn baby and they provided a demo where my husband was able to use the product with a weighted baby doll, to make the demo a little more realistic.

I found the staff at the stands to be really helpful, from providing information from their own personal experience, to more formal information concluded from formal studies. This was the first time I have visited the expo, however I am now looking forward to the next one, where I will be more focused on the range of toddler products.

“I was so thrilled with the amount of information available to me last year, that I came again this year! ”

Last year was the 1st time I experienced the PBC Expo as I was heavily pregnant with Olivia.  This year, I was able to obtain a lot of useful information related to all of my interests – such as educational toys, Playgroup/Gymbaroo type activities, convenient new & healthy food ideas perfect for busy households such as ours (Natureland, Toddler Food), skin care for eczema & any new products that I hadn’t seen before - which was terrific!

I loved the baby mum mums stand this year whereas last year I didn’t even know what a baby mum mum was! (especially the great deal they had on offer!).   I purchased a Bubba Mat (Soft mats) & the exhibitors were wonderful!  They took the time to explain & show the product to me & were not pushy.  Even though they were extremely busy nothing was too much trouble & all of the staff were friendly & very helpful!  This level of customer service is difficult to find these days! As a result I have recommended their product to many of my friends (as the product is fantastic as well!).  I also found the ladies at Playgroup Victoria to be fantastic & full of useful information about setting up a playgroup in my area as well!

I definitely would recommend the expo to family and friends, especially if they are expecting their first child, as there is so much important info & advice available.

“You can do a lot of research in one location.”

We learnt about some products we may be interested in purchasing, such as new style bike seats for children & safety glass bottles with temperature warnings.
We were also interested in purchasing a new line of cloth nappies by itti bitti. It was great to see the nappies in person as opposed to just over the net & the staff were very helpful & friendly.
I found the expo to be very manageable when attending with a small child. I thought it had a very relaxed vibe with the stallholders very happy to chat and give information.

“I found a lot of really helpful information!”

This was my first time at the expo and I will go again next year!  The XMA team were great - they had great product knowledge and I bought a new Eczema treatment to try for my 3 year old.   All of the products that are a form of sun protection for summer were explained in great detail and prices were very good too.  I would definitely recommend my family and friends to go,  to see new things and their children can enjoy some special activities and entertainment too.

My 4 year old son loved the FORD cars on display,  the fact that they could hop in the cars and touch it was a big thrill for him.  My 3 year old daughter loved the stage entertainment.

“The expo is great for busy parents who don't have a lot of time to scan the country side for baby products!”

The expo was helpful to be able to go to one central place that had representation from a cross section of this industry. We thought the Silly Billyz baby smocks were a fabulous idea, we bought a couple of these and have been promoting them to all our friends.  I had been looking for some-thing like this to cover our baby with. Already it has saved us numerous clothes changes and piles of washing. We also enjoyed chatting with the lady from the Komochi stand. She was very passionate about the Komochi and told us all about the concept background and how the various characters could be integrated for the needs of different children.

“It's informative for everyone who is involved or going to be involved in sharing the joy of having a little one in your life”

All the staff at each stand were friendly, helpful and happy to answer any questions!!!  It's well organised in terms of an area to feed your baby if you need to, plenty of rest areas and lots of stands to get information from.  I found Aromababy's products lovely. They had testers for all their products so you can feel & smell them, which is always helpful when deciding what products to buy for your baby.  I will be buying these products once I run out of what I'm currently using.   We had such a fun day, not only did we get to spend quality time together but we had gathered so much info and more, which made it a great day out.
