One for the Dads!
We introduced the Pregnancy Empathy Belly to the Expos this year and it has been a real hit with the dads. With a little gentle persuasion from their partners, the dads have being taking their turn at being pregnant – even if it is only for a few minutes!

The belly has been so popular that a number of maternity hospitals around Australia are now using it as part of their parent education classes. Here is what the King Edward Memorial Hospital in Perth had to say about it:

The Empathy Belly is a real hit! Lots of fun. We have used it in different classes. It is great as an icebreaker to get couples connecting. It also allows the male partner to comprehend the possible discomfort of pregnancy and the physical challenges of pregnancy in all facets of daily life. The empathy belly makes the partner feel ‘part of it'. Women encourage their partners to try it on and take photos with their phones. It stimulates conversations which is fantastic.

So come on guys – are you up to the Empathy Belly Challenge? You can experience the belly on the Sunday at all of our Expos around Australia or check it out at your local parenting class of course!
