Safe sleeping - your guide to reducing SIDS risk factors
Presented by Red Nose
Babies and young children spend a lot of their time sleeping, so it’s vital we ensure our little ones have a safe sleeping environment to reduce sleeping accidents and SIDS.
Unsafe sleep environments account for 90% of sudden unexpected deaths in infancy. Jill Green National Manager Services at Red Nose explains the risk factors and reviews the top 6 strategies for preventing these accidents and creating a safe sleep environment.
Red Nose was launched in 1991 and since then there has been an 81% reduction in SIDS and sleeping accidents, so we know the recommendations work! It’s also so important that grandparents and carers are aware of these important recommendations.
